美國麻省理工學(xué)院獎學(xué)金申請制度詳解
美國麻省理工學(xué)院通過各種途徑及方式為研究生提供經(jīng)濟上的資助，如研究生或研究員薪金、獎學(xué)金、教學(xué)研究資助等。其實MIT一直在尋求更多的獎學(xué)金申請者，學(xué)校也會對其進行嚴格的審核，從中挑選出符合獎學(xué)金授予條件的學(xué)生。
一、MIT本科生獎學(xué)金制度
在麻省理工學(xué)院，每年有73%的本科生獲得基于財政需求或基于優(yōu)秀的獎學(xué)金，這些獎學(xué)金來自各種不同機構(gòu)，約$9,930萬的獎學(xué)金;27%的學(xué)生來自年收入低于$75,000的家庭;62%的學(xué)生可以得到基于財政需求的`、無需償還的獎學(xué)金，平均數(shù)額為$31,928;44%的學(xué)生可以得到助學(xué)貸款，平均數(shù)額為$15,228;62%的學(xué)生可以得到校內(nèi)或校外的兼職工作，每年平均收入為$2,992。提供給本科生的獎學(xué)金來源包括：MIT scholarships、Federal grants、State scholarships、Outside scholarships、Veterans Benefits。
二、MIT研究生獎學(xué)金制度
約82%的研究生可以得到來自各種不同機構(gòu)的財政援助;研究生助教獎學(xué)金對學(xué)生來講是最主要的獎學(xué)金來源，每年有約2,500名的研究生(41%)被安排為助教人員;約1010名研究生(17%)可以得到基于需求的財政援助，如提供學(xué)生貸款和有報酬的工作，總金額約$4,370萬;15%的研究生可以得到助學(xué)貸款，平均數(shù)額為$44,709;約218名研究生通過Federal Work Study Program提供的校內(nèi)外工作機會獲得了總額約$250的收入，平均每人約$11,400。
